Helping you heal
Life is complex and challenges are a very normal part of being alive, but at times the difficulties we face can feel overwhelming. During these times we can feel isolated and confused, and withdrawing from family and friends can feel like the only safe option. In our retreat we stop thriving and focus instead on purely surviving – getting through one day at a time. Sometimes, even that can feel too hard.
Grief can often be at the heart of our pain. In its nature grief can be all-consuming but also very difficult to see in ourselves, but what we know for sure is that when we look in the mirror something is most definitely not ‘right’.
We know that grief is experienced not only through the loss of a loved one but also as a result of a divorce or separation, a job loss, illness or trauma – to name but a few. Quickly we can feel like we’ve lost who we are and our reason for being here.
When we suffer our emotions can take the form of anger, sadness, shame, guilt, exhaustion or a lack of enthusiasm for things we once loved. We can’t see how things can change for the better and the over-riding thought we tell ourselves may be, ‘I’m going to feel like this forever’.
Suffering, if we are prepared to listen carefully, is here to teach us something. It is often through suffering that we find out what we are capable of and what is most important to us. Understanding why we feel the way we do can be the first step to getting your life back on track again. And, if you know what has caused your pain, perhaps the support you need is understanding how to ease the hurt.
“I sat with my anger long enough until she told me her real name was grief”
Your spirit guides are with you throughout your life and are your biggest cheerleaders. They are intimately aware of what you feel, think and say (but know that they are not here to judge you). Fear of judgement is a whole other kettle of fish that stops us thriving and your guides don’t want to do that to you.
So, who are your guides? Your guides can consist of a master guide (who stays with you throughout your life), guides who come and go as they are needed, your ancestors or past life connections. With compassion and love, they protect and advise you, often through your intuition.
Spiritual guidance can help get to the heart of the matter and lift the confusion – at last, you are seen and understood.
During a reading, guides provide information about what is impacting on you and how you can heal. Once the cause of your suffering is identified and a clear pathway presented, you are empowered to take the next steps.
“The buddha called suffering a holy truth, because our suffering has the capacity of showing us the path to liberation. Embrace your suffering and let it reveal to you the way to peace.”
“When we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey.”
